Feasibility study
Meta Power Systems offers Technical and Economic Feasibility Assessments for cogeneration (CHP) plants.
Initially, data is collected to evaluate the project viability and determine the energy cost savings to justify further investigations.
During the Technical assessment, equipment sizing, technology selection, and operation mode are determined to develop the conceptual design in close communication with our customers.
Afterward, our designers evaluate the economic potential of the design while continuing to fine-tune the conceptual design, estimating project costs, and comparing alternative concepts.
Meta Power Systems evaluates the economic viability of a project using the payback and life cycle cost (LCC) analysis methods. Both methods require determining costs (capital, O&M costs), revenue incentives and savings attributable to the project, and costs attributable to a baseline or alternative case.
EPC
Meta Power Systems operates as an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor and takes over the entire execution of the plant.
Our projects are managed by a highly skilled project management team, from the project initiation to project closing and handing over. We aim to meet the project objectives and requirements while maintaining our client's satisfaction.
Our key elements to complete the projects are:
- Maintain close, effective, and open communication with our customers and suppliers.
- Commitment to the project objectives and requirements.
- Implement appropriate planning, monitoring, and control of the projects.
- Successful execution by assigning a qualified site team, safety, and quality supervisors.
Engineering
Meta Power Systems provides customized designs to meet the individual requirements of the projects. The ability to create value engineering and the flexibility to offer a wide range of cogeneration (CHP) technologies empowers Meta Power Systems with a strong competitive advantage to offer its clients more value-based solutions.
- Conceptual design: typically includes a design basis with main process parameters, overall plant production requirements, block flow diagrams, plant layout, and finally, an overall cost estimate and a feasibility study.
- Basic engineering covers the core documentation of the project, such as P&ID, Heat & mass balances, process flow diagrams, prime mover and ancillary equipment sizing, control & operational philosophy, and single line diagram.
- Detailed engineering covers a full scope for all functions, such as process, mechanical, structural, electrical, and instrumentation design.
We focus on achieving engineering excellence by complying with applicable codes and industry practices and applying the most economical methods and designs.
Procurement
Meta Power Systems provides the widest range of procurement services to serve projects in efficient and effective way. Our strong relationships with both local and international suppliers and collaboration between the central procurement and local officers abroad, allow prompt deliveries. We can ensure that all procured materials and sub-contracted services match the customer’s quality and budget requirements.
Construction
Our site management team applies efficient construction management tools that effectively manage the resources and subcontractors, project schedule, cost, safety, and quality while adding value at every level. Meta Power Systems emphasizes the importance of proper coordination with the customer's personnel and frequent reporting during the execution phase.
Commissioning
Our commissioning team can conduct the cold, hot commissioning, startup, and operational handover of the complete power generation sets and cogeneration (CHP) plant and offer the appropriate training on the system. OEM representatives will also be dedicated to supervising the commissioning of the equipment in compliance with the instructions.
Maintenance and Long-term service agreement
Meta Power Systems can provide for the installed plant and engines a long-term service agreement, whether for Gas turbines or Reciprocating engines-based power generation and cogeneration (CHP) plants. The agreement will be customized to suit the service needs of the plant.
The scope of such agreements can cover the following:
- Preventive/scheduled maintenance
- Corrective/unscheduled maintenance
- Minor and general machinery overhaul
- Repair and replacement of core engines
- Consumables, spare parts
- Remote technical assistance
- Availability guarantee
- Machine breakdown insurance
Backed up by the manufacturers of the Gas turbine and reciprocating gas engines, an experienced and well-trained local service staff will take care of the cogeneration (CHP) on-site and ensure that:
- Preventive maintenance is planned correctly, and the outage is coordinated with the customer
- Risks for defects are mitigated by conducting accurate inspections
- Spare parts are sufficiently available
We aim to maximize the savings of the installed CHP and increase reliability and efficiency throughout the equipment's lifecycle.
Furthermore, Meta Power Systems can provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for existing gas turbines and turbomachinery. Please contact us for further details.
